UNITED NATIONS (AlertNet) - Olav Kjorven, director of policy development for the United Nations Development Programme, spoke to AlertNet in the U.N. Secretariat Building after a media briefing on energy poverty data about the general mood at the Millennium Development Goals Summit.

About 140 heads of state are attending the three-day meeting at the U.N., which is focused on figuring out how to deliver eight goals set in 2000 intended to eradicate poverty, hunger and disease by 2015.
