NAIROBI, 18 October 2010 ( IRIN) - Detailed statistics about markets and exports in Somalia over the past 15 years have been placed online by a body of the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization. Initially, the Integrated Database System [ http://www.fsnau.org/ids ] of the Food Security and Nutritional Analysis Unit covers market prices, as well as exports of livestock, gum, frankincense and hides and skins. The datasets, which can be fine-tuned by precise geographical location and time period, can be exported into a spreadsheet. The service will be expanded with further datasets in 2011. am/cb © IRIN.
