WASHINGTON, Oct 19 (Reuters) - A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck northern Mexico, about 84 miles (135 kms) west-southwest of Navolato, in Sinaloa, the U.S. Geological Survey reported on Monday.

The quake occurred at a depth of 8.1 miles (13 kms).
