ADEN, Yemen, Nov 11 (Reuters) - A bomb exploded next to the headquarters of Yemen's ruling party in the south of the country on Thursday, a local official said, but it was unclear who was behind the attack.

The device blew up near the headquarters of the General People's Congress in the town of Lawdar in Abyan province, a local security official told Reuters. No one was killed or reported injured.

Clashes between the government and militants have reignited in Abyan province this month, as the government launched a campaign against al Qaeda operatives suspected of being behind a foiled parcel bomb plot in October.
