BELFAST, April 2 (Reuters) - A policeman was killed when a bomb exploded under his car in the Northern Irish town of Omagh on Saturday, a spokesman for the Northern Irish police said.

The killing is the first in Northern Ireland since the dissident republican Continuity IRA group shot dead a policeman in the county of Armagh in March, 2009. (Reporting Ian Graham, writing by Padraic Halpin)
