DUBLIN, May 17 (Reuters) - A second suspicious device in Ireland was found to be a hoax, shortly after an actual bomb was found on a bus, the army said on Tuesday ahead of the first state visit by Britain's Queen Elizabeth.

"It was a hoax, a device trying to imitate a viable device," army spokesman Pat O'Connor said of the second device, found at tram station in north Dublin. The army earlier blew up a homemade bomb in a controlled detonation after it was found on a bus in a town outside Dublin. (Reporting by Conor Humphries)
