WASHINGTON, June 1 (Reuters) - A strong earthquake of 6.3 magnitude struck off Chile's coast on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake's epicenter was 61 miles (98 km) southwest of Concepcion and occurred at a depth of 29 miles (47 km), USGS said.

The tremor was felt in Chile's south-central region, the same area that was devastated by a massive quake last year. There were no immediate reports of damage, according to Chile's national emergency office.
