June 12 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1030 GMT on Sunday.

BADGHIS - A NATO air strike killed more than five insurgents in western Badghis province after the fighters attacked a patrol by Afghan and foreign troops, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement. The insurgents attacked the patrol with small arms and rocket-propelled grenades. The patrol returned fire and called in an air strike after "positively identifying armed insurgents", the statement said. (Compiled by Kabul bureau; Editing by Paul Tait)
