Tropical storm Nock-ten struck the Philippines at about 18:00 GMT on 26 July.Data supplied by theUS Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Centersuggest that the point of landfallwasnear14.9 N,122.6 E.Nock-ten brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around101 km/h (63 mph).Wind gusts in the area mayhave beenconsiderably higher.
