See here for list of NGOs the UK's Department for International Development channels its money through

Ever wondered how your government spends overseas aid? If you’re British, here is an interesting list of the non-governmental organisations which the Department for International Development channels its money through. It might not be so surprising that the Red Cross tops the list, but most people in the United Kingdom won’t have heard of BRAC – the third biggest beneficiary, which has received 37 million pounds ($60m) in the last year. BRAC, founded in Bangladesh, is reportedly the largest NGO in the developing world. Among other things, it provides microloans as well as health, education and legal services, reaching an estimated 110 million people around the world, mostly in Asia and Africa.
