Woman stabbed to death in front of her children -The Star

A 30-year-old man stabbed his wife to death on Sunday after she refused to give him money that she had saved, The Star reported on Tuesday.

He took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her twice in the back in front of their children, aged seven and two.

The man is on the run while the children are being looked after by a cousin, the newspaper reported.

Domestic violence is rife in Kenya. Almost half of Kenyan women experience physical violence in their lifetime, according to government statistics.
