On May 15th Aday.org and Thomson Reuters Foundation ask you and people all around the world to pick up your cameras and picture what is close to you.

On 15th May Aday.org and Thomson Reuters Foundation ask you and people all around the world to pick up your cameras and picture what is close to you. In this unique photographic event, we will work together to create a unique documentation of daily life worldwide.

Aday.org draws on the energy of one single, ordinary day to create an unprecedented global documentation project. Top professionals will join diverse populations in picturing daily life, mapped around three categories: Home, Work and Connections.

The project will address the evolution of photography as the one form of media present in "everyone’s" life: as a documentation tool but also as a growing tool of communication.

Aday.org is looking for the perspectives of everyone who enjoys photography. The goal is to inspire perspectives on humankind – today and tomorrow. All images will be displayed online for you and everyone to explore. Some of them will be selected for a book, others will be displayed in digital exhibitions. Every single one will be saved for future research and inspiration.

To get involved, you can either register through the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s partner page and be automatically tagged as part of TRF’s documentation, or register individually on aday.org

Picture what is close to you: your life matters.
