Syria death toll tops 100,000 - activists

by Reuters

A gas station comes under fire by rebel forces in a suburb of Idlib.

The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters, comes as activists now say the death toll in Syria has topped 100,000.

As the war rages across the country, residents pick through the pieces of what has been lost. Rebel forces are under pressure with supply lines from Jordan and Lebanon steadily choked off.

After more than two years of conflict there are few signs of peace, where anyone can be a target. The prospect for peace talks looks bleak, after the U.S. and Russia, which support opposing sides in Syria, produced no agreement on who should attend a peace conference, or when it should be held.
