Tropical depression Eight is forecast to strike the Philippines as a tropical storm at about 18:00 GMT on 16 July.Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Centersuggest that the point of landfall will be near17.6 N,123.1 E.Eight is expected to bring 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 64 km/h (40 mph).Wind gusts in the area may be considerably higher.
