The Palestinian Territories have seen plenty of problems as a result of climate change, but has so far done little to make finding solutions a priority. Muna Dajani thinks it’s up to youth and activists to change that. At a Global Power Shift meeting in Istanbul, she shared her hopes of fighting apathy and finding ways to empower communities.
“We’re farming communities, and our connection to the land is very strong. So we feel that climate change is already happening, but because of the political and economic instabilities that we go through in the Arab world, climate change is not taking center stage,” she says.
