KABUL, Jan 17 (Reuters) - A suspected suicide bomber blew himself up near a restaurant frequented by foreigners in the Afghan capital Kabul on Friday in an attack followed by bursts of gunfire, a Reuters witness and security sources said.
No official details of any casualties were immediately available.
"First there was a suicide attack near a restaurant for foreigners where a man detonated his explosives attached to his body, and then possibly one or two insurgents entered the restaurant," one security source said.
Another security source said that one diplomat might have been wounded. (Reporting by Jessica Donati, Mirwais Harooni, Writing by Maria Golovnina; Editing by Mark Trevelyan)
