Ten dead, 22 missing after fire in Canadian seniors' residence

L'ISLE-VERTE, Quebec, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Ten people are now confirmed dead in a fire which ripped through a seniors' residence in eastern Canada, up from eight, police said on Saturday.

A further 22 are still missing, presumed dead.

The fire happened on Thursday in the small community of L'Isle-Verte, Quebec, located on the St. Lawrence River northeast of Quebec City. (Reporting by David Ljunggren; Editing by James Dalgleish)
