Former New Orleans mayor found guilty of graft at federal trial

NEW ORLEANS, Feb 12 (Reuters) - A federal jury on Wednesday found former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin guilty of bribery and corruption in connection to his dealings with contractors in the early years of the city's recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

Nagin, 57, faces more than 20 years in prison and will be sentenced at a later date. The jury found him guilty on 20 of the 21 counts of corruption that he faced, including bribery, conspiracy, money laundering and tax evasion.
