WASHINGTON, March 6 (Reuters) - Police at Virginia's George Mason University are investigating a written bomb threat, the school said on Thursday.

The threat was discovered overnight at the Art and Design Building at the university's Fairfax campus, about 15 miles (24 km) west of Washington, the school said in a statement on its website.

Police have cordoned off the building and classes in it have been canceled. Other classes and events on the campus will be held as scheduled, the statement said.
