MANAGUA, April 14 (Reuters) - An earthquake struck Nicaragua early on Monday morning, shaking buildings in the capital Managua.

An official at Nicaragua's seismological authorities said the quake measured 5.6 in magnitude but had struck at a shallow depth, making it more powerfully felt. (Reporting by Ivan Castro)
