Plan ahead to cope with booming migration to cities, say experts

OXFORD, England (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – By 2025, with urbanisation racing ahead, China will have at least 220 cities of more than a million people, and India will have at least 68, urban experts predict.

How will Asian and African cities already struggling with overflowing slums and shortfalls of everything from sewer systems to bus transport cope as millions of new arrivals pour in?
