NAIROBI, April 23 (Reuters) - A car exploded outside a police station in a poor neigbourhood of the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Wednesday, causing casualties, a Reuters witness said.

The mangled wreckage of a car lay outside the station in Pangani, near an area of the city targeted in past bomb and grenade attacks that police say Somali militants and their sympathisers carried out.
