Tom Fyans, ActionAid Head of Campaigns said "With shareholders up in arms and another year of massive bonuses, Antony Jenkins desperately needs to do something to show that it's not business as usual at Barclays.
"Today he's given ActionAid a personal and public commitment to finally doing something concrete about their tax haven banking for big business in some of the world's poorest countries. This is now a litmus test of Mr Jenkins' own commitment to cleaning up Barclays.
"Now is the time for Barclays to clean-up its reputation as a go-to bank for tax dodgers."
