SOFIA, April 29 (Reuters) - Bulgaria's centre-right GERB party led by former Prime Minister Boiko Borisov has kept its slight opinion poll lead over the ruling Socialists less than a month before European elections.
The poll by Alpha Research released on Tuesday showed support for the main opposition GERB party edged up to 17.6 percent from 17.5 percent the previous month.
Backing for the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), the main party in the ruling coalition, rose to 15.9 percent in April from 15.2 percent in March, the poll of 1,024 Bulgarians taken from April 23 to 26 showed.
The previous GERB government fell in February 2013 amid protests over high utility bills and corruption.
Some 46 percent of Bulgarians said they will vote in the May 25 elections, Alpha Research said.
Support for the ethnic Turkish MRF party, which is part of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski's minority coalition, was 6.2 percent.
