JUBA, May 8 (Reuters) - South Sudanese rebel leader Riek Machar is travelling to Ethiopia and is committed to meeting President Salva Kiir there for the first face-to-face talks since fighting erupted more than four months ago, a rebel spokesman said on Thursday.
Spokesman James Gatdet Dak, in the first comments from the rebel side confirming Machar would attend Friday's meeting, told Reuters that Machar "will arrive shortly" in Addis Ababa. He said by telephone Machar would meet Kiir after talks with the host, Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
