ABYAR, Libya, May 22 (Reuters) - A renegade Libyan general said on Wednesday the North African country needed to form a national crisis government to oversee the upcoming elections.

"We need a crisis government," Khalifa Haftar told reporters in Abyar in eastern Libya, adding that a military campaign to fight Islamist militants would continue.
