ANBAR, Iraq, June 22 (Reuters) - Gunmen overran the Iraqi-Syrian border post of al-Waleed in Iraq's western Anbar province on Sunday, security sources said, making it the second border crossing to fall in two days.
A customs police source and an army source said officials at the border fled when gunmen opened fire. A government official speaking on condition of anonymity confirmed that the border post had fallen. (Reporting by Kamal Namaa; Writing by Alexander Dziadosz; Editing by Mark Trevelyan)
