KANO, Nigeria June 23 (Reuters) - At least eight people were killed and 20 wounded after an explosion ripped through a state college in the northern Nigerian city of Kano on Monday, a senior police official said.

Adenrele Shinaba, Kano state's police commissioner, also told reporters that police were investigating the blast at the Kano State School of Hygiene.
