MEXICO CITY, June 30 (Reuters) - At least 22 people were killed in Mexico early on Monday during a shootout between suspected gang members and security forces southwest of the capital, the government said.

The gunfight took place in Tlatlaya on the southern fringes of the State of Mexico, the state enclosing much of Mexico City, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry said. (Reporting by Lizbeth Diaz; Editing by James Dalgleish)
