Pakistan: ACF helping in double crisis

by Action Against Hunger | European Commission

Over half a million people have recently been displaced due to military operations against insurgent groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, on Pakistan’s restive border with Afghanistan – the latest in a series of massive displacements which have taken place in this conflict-affected area over the last few years.

Parallel to this, millions in Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh have been hit by enormous floods for four years in a row. Two distinct humanitarian crises which have taken a serious toll on people’s resilience in these regions.

With support from the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO), Action Contre La Faim has been helping meet the urgent needs of the displaced population as well as address their nutrition requirements. See how almost 150 000 people have benefited from this assistance.
