Russia says flew 164 sorties in Syria in last 3 days - RIA

MOSCOW, Oct 26 (Reuters) - The Russian defence ministry said on Monday its planes had flown 164 sorties and struck 285 Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra militant targets in Syria in the last three days, the RIA news agency reported.

In the last 24 hours, Russian planes flew 59 sorties, hitting 94 targets in the Hama, Idlib, Latakia, Damascus, Aleppo, and Deir al-Zor provinces, the ministry was quoted as saying. (Reporting by Vladimir Soldatkin; Writing by Maria Kiselyova)
