Explosion heard near Cairo airport - residents and security sources

CAIRO, July 12 (Reuters) - An explosion was heard near Egypt's Cairo airport on Thursday evening, residents said, and security sources said the blast appeared to be at a structure used to store fuel.

One source told Reuters that flights were suspended while officials investigated the blast, which could be heard across large parts of the city. (Reporting by Sami Aboudi Editing by Andrew Heavens)
