Kerry joined the Thomson Reuters Foundation in September 2015. As Head of Legal she leads a global team of lawyers who work closely with TrustLaw’s NGO and social enterprise members to identify and frame their legal needs. Before joining the Foundation Kerry spent 10 years in the Dispute Resolution Division of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP. As a senior associate and solicitor-advocate she represented banks and financial institutions in a series of high profile cross-border disputes arising out of the financial crisis.

In 2012, Kerry left private practice to join the international development NGO, ActionAid UK, where she led the organisation’s advocacy to multi-national companies on its campaign issues: responsible tax practice for development and advancing women’s rights.

Kerry has a first class degree in law and a scholarship from Cambridge University. She also holds a Masters degree in Human Rights from University College London.
