Executive summary: Devyani manages projects submitted by our non-profit and social enterprise partners in South Asia and looks after TrustLaw's network of law firms in the region.

Devyani is a Legal Officer for the South Asia region with TrustLaw. She handles the pro bono legal projects from TrustLaw’s community of NGOs and social enterprises, frames and defines the projects, and then connects them with lawyers. She also manages cross-border research and policy advisory programmes that address the most critical needs facing our NGO and social enterprise members.

Prior to joining the Thomson Reuters Foundation, Devyani worked with the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands and the United Nations Volunteers in Pristina, Kosovo. Devyani also worked in private practice in New Delhi with the Supreme Court of India, the High Court and the trial courts in the areas of constitutional and criminal law. She has also lived in Singapore, Phnom Penh, New York, Mumbai and now resides in Bangalore.

Devyani is a qualified lawyer in New York and India. She received a Master’s Degree in Law from Columbia Law School and holds a Law Degree and a Bachelor’s in History from Delhi University.
