Nicholas Shaxson is the author of Treasure Islands (Bodley Head, 2011), a book about tax havens, and Poisoned Wells (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007), a book about oil and politics in West Africa. He is a journalist by background, having written extensively for Vanity Fair, the Financial Times, Reuters, The Economist, International Affairs, and many others. He also writes for the Tax Justice Network. His short e-book The Finance Curse, co-authored with John Christensen, was published in May 2013.
