Bishow Parajuli is the World Food Programme's country director in Yemen, one of the WFP's top 10 complex and largest operations globally. Prior to that he worked as director of government donor relations at WFP headquarters, where he played a key role in mobilising $3.95 billion in 2012 through voluntary contributions, exceeding the previous record. A Nepalese national, he has been with WFP for more than 20 years, with senior assignments in Myanmar and Egypt and stints in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Mozambique and Botswana.
