Archana Patkar heads the Policy team at The Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC). She leads the Equality and Non-discrimination work of the Council aimed at replacing stigma, discrimination and exclusion with dignity and pride using sanitation and hygiene as powerful entry points for change. Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is a critical component of this, enabling women and girls to transform the shame and taboo linked to menstruation into pride, confidence, dignity and life choices.
