Photojournalists from Kazakhstan and further afield in Central Asia turned their lenses on the daily lives of women in Almaty as they put into practice lessons learned on a Thomson Reuters foundation workshop for professional photographers.
Led by senior Reuters news photographers, the course focused on how to tell visual stories without compromising on integrity. Sessions combined discussions and dissection of examples with practical photo shoots and editing exercises.
These images are some of the best that came out of the three-day session, part of the Foundation's philanthropic media development work in Central Asia.
