Nuns provide a lifeline to Madagascar's hungry

It was an unscheduled stop, yet one of the most moving things I saw during a trip to Madagascar last month.

I was there to report on the human impact of hunger caused by drought, worsened by El Nino.

Nowhere was that more striking than in Ampary, in Madagascar’s southern region of Androy, where the Sisters of Charity have been providing a hot meal to drought-stricken villagers daily since February.
