More than 2.5 million people have fled Syria's civil war to neighbouring countries such as Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Iraq more are fleeing the violence every day. The United Nations says the situation in Syria is extremely challenging and continues to deteriorate rapidly with more than 6.8 million Syrians needing humanitarian aid.
