Lawyer of the Year Award 

This year, we’ve created a new category, the Lawyer of the Year Award, to honour the individual lawyers who have gone above and beyond in giving exceptional pro bono support. NGO and social enterprise members are asked to nominate a lawyer, or team of lawyers, that they feel have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to a project.

Thanks to everyone who voted –voting is now closed.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in New York on 5 November.

    Partner, White & Case LLP

    Bertrand worked with Ainaworld to provide advice on new technologies law, copyright issues and internet regulations which enabled the organisation to set up a large social media online.

    Associate, Jun He Law Offices

    Dayin Zhang helped China Social Entrepreneur Foundation design a course for college students on the legal issues of starting a social enterprise. The course was performed at the Peking University and broadcasted live on internet to nearly 3000 college students across China. Dayin Zhang worked on this project with Haining Lin from Jun He Law Office

    Lupiya worked with Kickstart International Inc. to help them incorporate and register a non-profit organization in Zambia. They are now fully operational in Zambia supporting farmers in the country and surrounding countries such as Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Angola. Lupiya worked with Sara Larois from Corpus Legal Practitioners.
