Jan 11 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0530 GMT on Tuesday.

KABUL - A leader of the al Qaeda-linked Haqqani militant network and two insurgents were killed on Monday in Khost province, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.

Two insurgents were killed in an ISAF air strike, while the leader, Mirwais Sabri, died when he attempted to attack Afghan and foreign troops as they searched the area afterwards, ISAF said. Sabri was responsible for coordinating and conducting bomb and small-arms attacks in the Sabari district, it added. (Compiled by Michelle Nichols; Editing by Daniel Magnowski)
