WASHINGTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Monday upheld an injunction against President Barack Obama's executive action to shield millions of undocumented immigrants from deportation.

The decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals deals a setback to Obama's plan, opposed by many Republicans and challenged by 26 states. Taking the case to the Supreme Court is now the administration's only option. (Reporting by Mohammad Zargham; Editing by Sandra Maler)
