Aug 21 (Reuters) - Grace, which earlier pummeled Mexico with torrential rain on Saturday as a hurricane, weakened to a disturbance, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in its latest advisory on Saturday.

Grace was located about 65 miles (105 km) west north-west of Ciudad De Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 25 miles per hour, the NHC said.

Grace caused severe flooding and mudslides in Mexico that killed at least eight people, authorities said, after it became one of the most powerful storms in years to hit the country's Gulf coast.
