Government Of Pakistan Donates 26,000 Metric Tons Of Wheat To WFP
ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has announced the release of 26,000 metric tons of wheat for distribution in Pakistan by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). The contribution, valued at US$10 million, comes at a critical time when funding shortages are threatening WFP's ability to provide emergency food assistance to almost 1 million people displaced by violence in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
