Dr. Agnes Kalibata is the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for the 2021 Food Systems Summit. A national of Rwanda, Kalibata served as the Rwandan Minister of Agriculture between 2008-2014, driving programs that lifted close to 2 million Rwandans out of poverty. Since 2015, she has served as President of AGRA, leading efforts with public and private partners to improve the food security and incomes of millions of smallholder households across Africa through sustainable agricultural growth.
