Aug 29 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Pakistan at 09.30 GMT on Sunday.

JAMRUD - Two soldiers were killed on Sunday when a paramilitary patrol team was hit by a roadside bomb in the northwestern Khyber region on the Afghan border, security officials said. On Saturday, a soldier was killed by suspected militants on suspicions of spying against them in the same region.

PESHAWAR - Five "Punjabi" militants were killed in a clash with ethnic Pashtun Taliban in the North Waziristan tribal region on the Afghan border on Sunday, intelligence officials said. Punjabi militants hail from the central Pakistani province of Punjab and officials have blamed them for a spate of major attacks in the province in recent months. Many Punjabi militants are believed to have joined with the Pashtun Taliban in the lawless tribal areas in the northwest.
