SIMFEROPOL, Ukraine, Oct 11 (Reuters) - A cargo vessel with a 12-person crew sank in the Kerch strait between the Black and Azov seas on Monday, a Ukrainian emergencies ministry official said. Eight people had been rescued so far, he said.
The Vasiliy, operating under a Mongolian flag, was loaded with scrap metal.
The crew comprised 10 Russians and two Ukrainians. The search was continuing for the missing crew members. (Writing by Pavel Polityuk; Editing by Janet Lawrence)
