Oct 12 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 1900 GMT on Tuesday. * indicates new or updated item

* BAGHDAD - Gunmen launched coordinated attacks on three Iraqi army security checkpoints in the Amiriya district of western Baghdad, killing one Iraqi soldier and wounding six others, an interior ministry source said.

MOSUL - Iraqi border forces killed a civilian by mistake as they chased smugglers near the Iraqi-Syrian border northwest of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, a source from the provincial police operations room said.

MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded two Iraqi soldiers when it exploded during their patrol in western Mosul, north of Baghdad, said a source from the provincial police operations room.
