The European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO) funds community and institutional based disaster preparedness programs across South Asia.
In its eighth year of implementation, ECHO's funding aims to build the resilience of communities and vital institutions at a time when disasters are becoming more intense and frequent.
The following photo story reflects disaster preparedness activities and its impacts in multi-hazard prone areas of Bangladesh.
The story is derived from ECHO's six implementing partners, who are Action Aid, Concern Universal, IFRC, Islamic Relief Worldwide, Oxfam GB and Plan Bangladesh.
